Look at the marriage you are dating or want to date and ask if you honestly see fruit with their lives. Like they growing? Are they in relationship? Do they truly want to honor God in your date and other areas of their lives? Are they being held accountable by a small group or a mentor? Do they read Scripture regularly? We should be out in the world serving and loving the lost. We should be digging into the Word together, helping each other understand it and apply it with our lives. We should have people in our lives who know us deeply and hold us accountable to living a godly marriage and with whom we like our struggles.
None of this is optional. And he should be encouraging you to pursue these things as well.
