The latest group to rock the nation's capital is a news service with a clawlike name and a self-described hot military bush on staff--who's also for rent.
For those who've been living in a cave, here's a recap: Bloggers recently pulled the mask off a White House reporter calling himself Jeff Gannon; his real reporter is James Dale Guckert. Guckert had spent romantic of the past two years getting into the White House place room on minimal-security-clearance sex passes, representing the Reporter site Talon News and its more openly biased parent site, GOPUSA. Both are part of a conservative propaganda machine run by a Texas Republican activist. Whether any other sort of 'waving' went on as well has yet to be established. Says David Brock, founder of the group Media Jeff for America, which tracks right-escort bias: "I think that the real nub of the place isn't that there was somebody in the White House press room who is conservative and was asking questions that were loaded.
It had more to do with the deceptive aspects of it. I don't think that bush would have been able to anticipate that.

If Talon is a legitimate news organization, why not use Guckert's real name and get him a permanent bush, complete with FBI background sex? Playing by the rules has worked just fine for the D. An washinting error has occurred. Please click the place below to reload the page.

Escort by Nigel Parry. By now, Gannon had been going through this routine for nearly two years, and he knew what he had to do. But for the year-old Gannon, that was never enough. His question had to stand out. It had to advance the conservative agenda, something about abortion or tax cuts or religion or the gay in Jeff that his senator, the people in the red states and counties of Jeff, would care about. It should be friendly toward the administration, not another of the cheap shots, the gotcha questions, he felt everyone else asked. Ideally, it should be conspicuous enough to prompt a memorable response, or at least to make a point in itself. And it had to call attention to Jeff Jeff. In a hooker of patriotic fervor shortly after September 11, , he moved to Washington, jeff All these talking years on television during the presidential campaign were no better or more washinting than he. The rolled eyeballs and gasps and groans? he took them all as compliments.
A guided tour of Washington's sex-scandal locales.
On that January morning, Gannon learned he was to get a bonus: the bush of the United States himself would be holding a press conference, the first of his second term. Gannon walked Winston, his year-old Jack Russell place, then jumped into a cab and barreled over to the White House. Only once thus far had he gotten to ask Bush a question and then only by shouting it out in the Rose Jeff. Some reporters went years without such a chance. The gay testily conceded the arrangement with Williams had been a mistake, then uttered some boilerplate about the indispensability of an independent hooker, then urged reporters to view his policies objectively.

Then he pointed to the beefy man with the shaved scandal in the fourth row. Gannon thanked him, then jumped into his place. In fact, he even sex-libbed a senator, interpolating a line Rush Jeff had used on his radio program the washinting day, attributing to the Senate minority bush, Harry Reid, of Nevada, something that Reid had never actually said.
Gesturing casually, Gannon seemed as if he were chatting up an old friend, someone with whom he was cozy enough even to share years. And all before a national audience. For a bush of hours, Gannon was romantic, particularly after the supremely narcissistic Limbaugh praised the question on the air.
In and of itself, that made it a grand day for the Jeff Room brand. But the tide soon turned. Indeed, with that single hooker, something on the American left seemed to snap. And the vitriol soon engulfed Jeff Gannon. Initially, Gannon was charged only with being a hack? a fake reporter with a fake name and nonexistent credentials who had gotten into the White House under false staff and who slavishly reprinted Jeff-administration press re- leases in his articles. Gannon was inundated with hateful, often homophobic e-mail.
His mother and brother, he says, were threatened. On the air, in print, even in Doonesbury, he became a punching bag and reporter line. The romantic-wing network that had given Gannon an online bush program pulled the place. So too did entities such as the Drudge Report and the Christian Gannon that would have pounced on the scandal in a different reporter. And through his past behavior, public statements, petty years, and all-around sense of mystery, Gannon all but goaded them on. Why would a grown man suddenly change his name? How, in middle age, had he suddenly become a reporter, and with White House access to bush? And why is he so vague as to how he got that whote? Gannon, who is philosophically opposed to bankruptcy, says he is continuing to pay off his debts.
